As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Digital content that you download immediately is treated differently — here is exactly how it works.
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends 14 days after the day the contract was concluded.
Before your payment is confirmed at checkout, you expressly ask for the cookbook to be delivered immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the download begins. This is the exception for digital content in Art. 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
In practice: once you have downloaded the PDF, the purchase can no longer be withdrawn. If you have not downloaded it yet, your 14-day right still applies in full.
For cookbooks that have not launched yet, nothing is delivered at the time of purchase. You can cancel a pre-order for a full refund at any time before the file is sent to you.
Even where the exception applies, we do not hide behind it. If something is wrong with your file, the link does not work, or the cookbook is genuinely not what was described, email us and we will fix it or refund you.
Send us a clear statement — an email is enough — to contact.thekath@gmail.com. Please include:
Where withdrawal applies, we refund all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed, using the same payment method you used for the purchase. You will not be charged any fee for the refund.
